changing the msn spaces user interface language

this one's really good. oh yeah..

this neat english/ japanese msn space has this very neat "MUI Switchter" on his left sidebar. (look at photo)

in my post here, i linked to The Spacecraft's msn spaces faq which answered the question of long-suffering people everywhere.. "Q. My space is showing up in the wrong language, how do I correct this?"

    A. You can reset the language of your MSN Spaces page by navigating to the following pages:

    Simplified Chinese:    http://spaces.msn.com?mkt=zh-cn

    Traditional Chinese:    http://spaces.msn.com?mkt=zh-tw

    Danish:                          http://spaces.msn.com?mkt=da-dk

    Dutch:                            http://spaces.msn.com?mkt=nl-nl

in Tokyo Bilingual & Bicultural's space you can just click on the language links and change languages on the fly. if you want to add these to your site, just add this link to one of your custom  lists:

for example, you want to change your language to Indian: http://spaces.msn.com/members/"your msn space name"/?mkt=en-in

yeah.. neat huh. you can get the list of links per language from the second to the last answer in this post.

i can now navigate MSN Spaces in English

i can now navigate MSN Spaces in English thank God. or thanks to The Spacecraft (second to the last question in that post) anyway.

in other news, i'm so loving the Custom HTML Power Toy. now i can add my lame-ass site's sitemeter counter to this space too!.  i just wish i can have more than one powertoy though. (learn how to add your own custom html powertoy here)

    automatic tagging?

does MSN Spaces automatically tag a post with whatever category it's put under?

my first two posts show up in a technorati tag search (see screenshot- my posts are the two that were "posted by gem" in the photo) for "windows live local" but i did not tag them as such. in fact i did not tag them at all. i just placed them in categories..

or at least i think they're categories. i don't really know for sure since the MSN Spaces UI magically turns into chinese when i use it (hello microsoft are you reading this: I know it magically turns into Chinese because of my location, but at least Blogger switches to English after I log in.).

i'm not sure if this means "categories" or "tags". but my gut tells me this means "categories" (my translation skilzz sux0rz), and if i'm right about that chinese term 類別 meaning "categories", why would my posts show up in a tag search then?

i mean, i also use Wordpress.com (yes, wordpress dot com and not dot org because i'm lame) and it doesn't automatically tag posts with whatever category they were put under (Blogger doesn't support categories, booo.).

so anyway, going back to the topic, does MSN Spaces automatically tag a post with whatever category it's put under?
in other news, this is my third time typing this stupid post. for some reason Firefox crashes when i click on the "add link" button in the WYSIWYG editor. ughh. i had to finally add the links manually using the html editor.
